Mobile Tai Lue

A collaboration by British and Thai designer, and a weaving community in Nan, Thailand, this art car focuses on slow fashion and local Tai Lue textile traditions. The project is an extension of the British Council’s Crafting Futures program, which works with a community of weavers in Pua District, Nan Province, to build their capacity and enhance their livelihood. A golf buggy will act as a mobile workshop and exhibition unit, and you'll be able to make an art piece from Tai Lue textiles and fabric waste, and learn about slow fashion and Tai Lue weaving. The final art piece will be exhibited at Ban Donchai Village in Pua, Nan, after Wonderfruit.
