Bell Orchestre
Drawing its six members from diverse musical backgrounds, Bell Orchestre came together in Montreal to form one of the most cohesive and intuitive bands making music today. It’s as if the group has tapped into a very particular, distinct energy: like that of an approaching storm. Categorizing them as merely instrumentalists doesn't feel right—it would miss their profound essence. Despite an amalgamation of influences like Lee “Scratch” Perry, Arvo Pärt and The Penguin Café Orchestra, Bell Orchestre ingeniously transmutes their inspirations into a distinctive sound that is uniquely their own. The result is at once fierce and beautiful, delicate and dirty.
