Addressing the impact of climate change in Southeast Asia and the world requires us to create solutions that drive scaled societal behaviour change. This talk will explore the concept of investing in climate adaptation instead of climate mitigation or prevention. It will unpack the uniqueness of entrepreneurship as a specific sector and nuanced culture, allowing us to derive both commercial and climate-focused outcomes. Entrepreneurship culture is a catalyst for growth and will let us to be more resilient to the implications of climate change across social, political, economic and physical realms.

Alina Truhina is the Co-Founder and CEO of The Radical Fund, an early-stage VC fund dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs in Southeast Asia who are rapidly scaling solutions that contribute to a more climate resilient future. Her past work includes operating as the Chief Strategy Officer for Founders Factory Africa, a tailored, tech-enabled, venture development and investment company, building and scaling Africa's ventures across the continent. Bryan Meehan is the former CEO & Chair of Blue Bottle Coffee. Previous entrepreneurial endeavors include Fresh & Wild in London (now Whole Foods) & Nude Skincare (Sold to LVMH). Bryan’s is now focused on mentoring entrepreneurs and working on sustainability projects primarily in agriculture and packaging.
