Empowerment Dinner for Pride & Peace by Samrub Samrub Thai x Krua Luuk Rieang
Book now through Wonderfruit Journeys
A heartfelt tribute to the deep south, celebrating the resilience, pride and peace of its people through food, the menu served at this feast is inspired by the meals shared among families in the homes of the locals, following Thai-Malay recipes preserved through generations and crafted with local seasonal ingredients.
The motivation behind this dinner is empowerment. Through cooking together and learning from each other, Chef Prin and the Luuk Rieang group aim to go beyond just taste. Their goal is to instill a sense of pride and encouragement, hoping it will be passed on to the youth and friends in the three provinces, inspiring them to rise and live with hope every day.
The feast is in collaboration with Luuk Rieang Group, based in Yala Province, who are dedicated to promoting peace and well-being for children impacted by violence from the war in the deep south. Their culinary project, Krua Luuk Rieang, serves dual purposes: as a revenue stream and as a therapeutic space that offers children affected by violence both healing through cooking and potential career skills.
