Bio

The Unicorn Club Thailand is a group of young, positive people who love working with children and are professionals from different backgrounds, such as special needs teachers, international school teacher assistants, individual artists, youth church groups and disadvantaged adolescents, which makes us inclusive and unique. They were set up with the purpose of being a social enterprise to provide uplifting children’s events and activities that are creative, fun, and connected to the community. Part of our revenue is used to support special needs training programs at the Thanksgiving Home to uplift the lives of disadvantaged young people.

This year at Camp Wonder, The Unicorn Club is working with kids and families at the Positive Vibration Station to beautify a useful and delightful bamboo fan or palm hat to stay cool throughout the festival. Interested in weaving a fan of your own? Come by to weave and paint your fan, or decorate a palm hat with your favorite designs.

Palm Hat Painting (THB 550)

Design and paint your own palm leaves hat this year at Camp Wonder. The iconic palm-leaf hats are made from local wisdom and the production process has been passed from generation to generation. It is symbolic of farmers, the mainstay of Thai workers in the past, who loved to wear it while working outdoors to protect themselves from the heat of the sun.

Bamboo Fan Painting (THB 350)

Choose a beautiful, hand-woven Thai bamboo fan and make it as creative as your heart desires. Whether it creates a splash of color as you keep yourself cool or adds a natural and minimalistic look to your outfit this year, the bamboo fan is essential to keep your chill out in The Fields.

Face Painting (THB200)

Face painting at Camp Wonder is an opportunity to have fun with creativity, encounter the unique sensory experience of having your face painted and use this art activity as imaginative social play with other little Wonderers whilst bringing a character of their imagination.
