Flower Obsession (Sunflower) by Yayoi Kusama

Bio

"Flowers indicate the great mystery and the beauty and wonderfulness/admirability of life, for our planet earth and the life we are living. Among flowers, the sunflower particularly attracts me for its liveliness and gorgeousness. We cannot stop our existence as well as we cannot escape from our death. In order to overcome anxiety and fear, I have created them as artworks and obliterated myself within. 'Self Obliteration' is to lose self-existence by committing self to a flow of infinite time that perpetually moves forward. It would be great if we can all obliterate ourselves to build a world of peace and love for humanity.”
