Four Karmas Live Set by Tadi Yan

Ambient soundscapes, mixed by sound artist Tadi Yan, emanate from the Dhyana mandala, drawing you in to experience the ceremony when you least expect it.

In Himalayan Buddhist belief, each direction of the mandala is an element that also embodies a certain activity (known as a karma). These activities—pacifying (Water), enriching (Earth), magnetizing (Fire) and destruction (Wind)—describe how an awakened mind interacts with and impacts the world around it.

In this live set, Shanghai and Kathmandu-based artist Tadi Yan will create a live mixed set evoking the energy of all four karmas, interweaving mantras and ceremonies recorded from great spiritual masters with recorded soundscapes and original beats.
