Lui Mafuta has always loved music, but it wasn’t until he discovered 90 hip hop and all of the music connected with this genre that he really began to dig deeper.

Through the music he makes today, Lui always tries to understand why music does what it does. He seeks to understand the deeper connections of the processes happening inside the song and surprises himself with the emotional connection he has with music—as if it is shaping him while he shapes it.
