Phimjai Phonlaychai, formerly known as Narin Chummun, showed artistic talent from a young age. Despite her parents' desire for her to become a traditional Molam artist like them, she decided to pursue a career in the Lukthung music industry. She entered singing competitions and won awards, which led to collaborations with well-known artists such as Dao Bandon and Thepphon Phetubon. Her album 'Noom Yao - Sao San' sold over two million copies, establishing her as a "queen of molamplern". With a discography of over 300 tapes, videos and CDs, she has made a significant impact on the Lukthung music scene. She has also been an influential teacher and mentor to many aspiring Lukthung musicians, such as Siriporn Ampaipong and Jintara Poonlarp.
