There are more than 5,000 varieties of rice grown in Thailand. Yet, our usual daily consumption is less than ten rice species.

With the importance of food security at heart, the Flavors of Isaan Rice will take you on a sustainable journey of rice flavors through installation art, architecture, workshops, and food and drink programs.

At the Isaan Rice Tower, come and taste the subtle (and not so subtle) flavors, scents and texture of more than 20 native varieties of rice with our Isaan Rice Tasting workshop. Waste nothing and make beautiful and delicious pickled organic vegetables from the rice washing water. Try fermenting your own fragrant sato rice wine at a sato-making workshop.

Rice Pairing food program by Chefs Paisarn and Jib of Kaen Casual Fine Dining lets you taste the rice from the grains right to its roots. Learn to pair types of rice with different cuisines, and sample every part of a rice plant through various cooking methods.

Enjoy the night of potent Sato and energetic acoustic Molam at our Sato Bar by Por Sawat Up-hat, a master sato brewer from Khon Kaen joined by young and upcoming sato brewers.
