Shamanic Breathwork by Kay and Dao
WARNING: this workshop is not suitable for those with heart conditions or high blood pressure.
Only you and your breath can result in a profound spiritual experience. Lungs are known to produce DMT (dimethyltryptamine), a neural transmitter, like serotonin, that is always present in most animals and plants, us included. It’s hypothesized that DMT regulates the level of consciousness. Hence, deep and intense breathing will stimulate the lungs to produce DMT endogenously, resulting in a shift in one’s consciousness. Some may feel an emotional release, others may feel the energetic presence of the surrounding, and the rest may go into a trance-like state and discover one’s inner selves. It’s simple yet intense work that needs dedication to get oneself across—and it’s totally worth it.
At the end of the session, the body will be extra sensitive to vibrational energies, a perfect state to receive the blissful energy of the singing bowls in the sound journey, alleviating blockades and gradually bringing us back to whole-body balance.
