Michele Montauti at The Spritz Mobile With Aperol

Born and raised in Pescara on Italy's Adriatic coast, Michele Montauti graduated with a culinary degree from L'Istituto Filippo De Cecco. As a young man, he found he had a particular passion for beverages and so sought bartending experience in different establishments, including Winnie's, the historic bar in the Grand Hotel Gardone at Lake Garda.

Upon arriving in Thailand, Michele got involved with an upscale cocktail bar in the Thonglor area called J.Boroski. With his friendly character, experience, exceptional approach to service and attention to detail, Michele's mark on the beverage scene kept flourishing, and after a few other roles, he was approached by Waldorf Astoria Bangkok to join its pre-opening team in December 2017 as the bar manager. Today, the 30-year-old beverage manager oversees The Loft, The Champagne Bar and the hotel's overall beverage program.
