Toomturn Molam Group
Toomturn represents acoustic, instrumental early Molam, talking their influence directly from the 1960s and 70s sound of Kwanjai Kalasin Yuk Pattana Band, Audsawin Pinthong, Samai Onwong and Dao Bandon. Toomturn is also the sound of the Isan percussion rhythm used in Molam music, which in turn underpins the relaxed and happy vibe during their live set. In 2017, they started a monthly residency at Studio Lam, a space that allows them to develop their musical future, which is also solely rooted in the past.
