Building The Fields with purpose
Building The Fields from scratch takes a lot: time, creativity, effort, and resources. With every element of Wonderfruit, our first consideration is the environmental impact and how we can minimize it. What we can’t reduce, we restore through carbon offset programs.
Flying vs. driving
Flying emits far more carbon than most realize. For example, a one-way flight from Singapore to Bangkok in economy class contributes 210 kg per passenger. Driving isn’t necessarily better—covering the same distance by car adds almost 300 kg of CO2.
Transport and emissions
Transport is our largest source of emissions. The millions of kilometers it takes to move equipment, resources, staff, and musicians to Wonderfruit from around the world contribute more than 1,300 tons of CO2 to the atmosphere. While we take steps to mitigate this, the emissions are substantial.
Shared responsibility
Our carbon footprint isn’t just our own. From contractors to suppliers, manufacturers to vendors, we consider the impact of the entire Wonderfruit ecosystem well before the gates open. That includes you and how you travel to get here.
Offset Your Travel Emissions
For the first time at Wonderfruit, we are giving every visitor the chance to make a difference by removing their emissions from the atmosphere through a carbon sink. Whether you’re driving from Bangkok or flying. You can donate to offset your carbon footprint.
