Anna Sato, a celebrated singer from Amami, Japan, and up-and-coming drummer Toshiyuki Sasaki form a unique unit blending traditional Amami Shimauta, Okinawan and Amami Islands musical instruments, with innovative sounds. Since their debut at the Polyphonic music festival in Corsica in 2016, they’ve captivated global audiences, including a notable solo performance in Paris.
