How can changing the frame of time’s passing alter how we act?
In this series of three participatory talks at Wonderfruit, polymathic designer and curator Prem Krishnamurthy connects multiple temporalities of reading, listening, looking, and creating. Each event incorporates multiple modes for experiencing time: from mindfulness to movement, discussion to dancing, production to polyrhythms—plus karaoke! Come for one, come for all. The time for transformation is now.
For the second of three participatory presentations, Prem Krishnamurthy facilitates a conversation and workshop with artist and musician Timothy Angulo. Their durational dialogue for voice and drums is a spiritual journey into time as rhythm. If time is the space between notes, beats and breaths—between beginnings and endings—then life is an accumulation of time intervals. All the time and the life that have come before us inform our next movement, and the space between movements is our choice and gamble. How do we deal with going from one beat to the next?
