Based in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo, DJ KOCO aka Simokita is a wizard of 7-inch records. His hip-hop sets are a display of a true crate-digger with a well-honed mixing style, earning him fans across boundaries of age, sex, nationality and race. He was the only Japanese artist to appear at Technics 7th in Las Vegas alongside DJs like Cut Chemist, Kenny Dope and Derrick May. He has featured at We Out Here Festival, and gone on successful tours in Brazil, Australia, the U.S. and all over Europe.
