Embroidering Stories
With Director Jacq
In this workshop, participants will choose a patch of artisanal fabric and stitch one of Wayn Traub’s fantastical characters, or create your own. Through hand-embroidered imagination, mending becomes storytelling and needlework, expression.
A former theater director at Paris’s Theatre de la Ville, Wayn Traub now works with needle and thread, creating embroidered tableaus. His workshop draws from traditions passed down by his grandmother, creating new narratives from fragments and offcuts.
