For Dhyana’s opening ceremony, Tulku Ngawang Tenzin guides us toward opening the doors of immeasurable love, joy, compassion and equanimity. In this rare Tibetan Buddhist ritual, these four immeasurables are symbolically invoked as four wrathful female guardians with the head of a horse, a sow, a lion and a wolf, exploring the paradox of peaceful forces expressed as wrathful deities to overcome obstacles to our awakening. Through guided meditation, offerings and an exploration into the deeper meaning of the ritual, we are invited to invoke these positive forces together as our protection, strength, and catalyst for awakening.
