To what extent is the world, as we see and believe to know it, the accurate image of what actually surrounds us? In the first lecture, philosopher Federico Campagna will take the audience on a metaphysical journey outside the familiar contours of the “world”. Drawing inspiration from a vast array of philosophical, theological, mystical and mythological sources, the lecture will dismantle our habitual mistaking our own ideas about reality for Reality itself. From the flowing of time to the presence of objects, to our own existence as individual beings, nothing will be spared the ordeal of an examination that, across the centuries, has led mystics, philosophers, shamans and psychedelic explorers to the threshold of Chaos.
