Island

Island by Bangkok-based conceptual artist Ruangsak Anuwatwiwom is a site-specific installation project from 2018 that operates directly on the land, focusing on the water elements and the wild botany it feeds. It dramatizes the vitality of water both in foreign and local places in the form of icebergs, alienated from its tropical hosting space and as poetic monuments that embody the purity of this matter. The installation’s evolving ecology is an ongoing dialogue between human and nature.
