Khasi Rhythms

Da Minot invites Wonderers into the heartbeat of the Khasi Hills of Northeast India. Da Minot will guide participants through hands-on percussion and rhythm patterns unique to their homeland in Shillong, Meghalaya. Encounter the stories, legends and mythologies carried within the music, carrying forward the Khasi understanding of nature, community and spirit.
Da Minot is a music collective sharing the music of the “Ka Bri U Hynñiewtrep”, the ancestral name of the Khasi and Jaiñtia Hills.
