How can changing the frame of time’s passing alter how we act?
In this series of three participatory talks at Wonderfruit, polymathic designer and curator Prem Krishnamurthy explores multiple temporalities of reading, listening, looking, and creating. Each event incorporates various modes for experiencing time: mindfulness to movement, discussion to dancing, production to polyrhythms—plus karaoke! Come for one, come for all. The time for transformation is now.
In his first presentation at Wonderfruit, Prem Krishnamurthy reflects on reading as healing, temporal transformations in the late conceptual artist On Kawara’s lettering, and the speculative nature of writing. This event expands on Krishnamurthy’s genre-bending book On Letters (2022), an epistolary essay with thirteen personal letters to Kawara. Through journaling and discussion—plus karaoke!—we’ll ask: How can reading (and singing) together help manifest different futures?
