Charya dance is a sacred Nepali temple dance that invokes and expresses the awakened divinity within all of us.

Charya dance teacher, Punya Sagara, will initiate and introduce us to the basics of charya mudras and steps, an ancient dynamic meditational dance practice that originated in Nepal.

Through the flow of our natural bodies expressed through simple gestures and footwork, we discover our inner wisdom and awareness. We explore the paradox of exerting effort towards resting effortlessness and the discovery of stillness through motion.

Punyasagara will also dance White Tara and Manjushri, two deities embodying supreme health, vitality and wisdom.
