VERTUO Coffee Bar
with Nespresso

A coffee-infused affair in the Fields

Just like music, coffee needs to bring the noise. And to do specialty coffee right, we called upon Nespresso to bring a weekend of caffeinated capers to The Fields. Drop by for a cup of coffee from Nespresso’s sustainability range and stay for a story by a barista that explains not just the what but also the why behind your coffee fix. You’ll find yourself connecting not just with those around you but also with the farmers who brought you the beans in your cup. And, of course, you’ll leave a little more awakened, in every sense of the term.

Creating sustainable future
farming practices

Sustainability is at the top of Nespresso’s agenda, and we’re on that journey with them together. From improving the lives of coffee farmers to exploring functional uses for recycled pods and their grinds and actively reducing their carbon, Nespresso is transforming their capsules into positive cups. At Wonderfruit, we make use of used Nespresso grinds to fertilize our farm and inoculate the compost which nourishes our Ancestral Forest. We celebrated this through a Rice & Roast event in The Fields, an art project called Doing Is Everything, and coffee-powered brews at Moobaan Wonder.

Take a seat at the bar

Have a seat at a coffee-powered bar with your feet planted on the very ground that was nourished by used Nespresso coffee grounds from events in The Fields gone by. Sitting cozily within an open and shaded Sala, the space is made from rescued materials and designed to encourage exchange between storytellers, coffee-makers and espresso enthusiasts. Don’t miss a centerpiece by Pin Metal Art made of used capsules and metal offcuts.

About Nespresso

From its beginning in 1986, Nespresso has redefined and revolutionized the way millions of people enjoy their espresso coffee and shaped the global coffee culture.
