A communal space inspired by natural hues of brilliant blue
First launched 2022
Beneath billowing panels of tie-dyed cloth, we gather to celebrate communal traditions of harvesting, fermenting and using indigo. The triangular tent is open to all Wonderers from sunrise to sunset, while at night, a feeding ritual prepares the vats for their overnight rest.
This year, Indigo World centers the idea of transformation—of plants into paste dye, yet also that of self and season, land and memory. Philip Huang, his friends and family return to guide creative workshops, including leaf tapping, indigo pastemaking and hand embroidery. Culinary experiences continue at Indigo World, honoring acts of nourishment that bring people together.
