A couple of years ago, one of our team members put it perfectly: Wonderfruit is a marathon, not a sprint. But what do we mean by that?

Like any seasoned marathon runner will tell you, it’s all about pacing yourself—and the same applies to Wonderfruit.

We work year-round to bring you five full days of experiences that go around the clock. How we program these five days is carefully designed to help you explore, to not know, and to come upon ideas, thoughts and sounds. Through these discoveries, we hope you can learn more about the world and the cultures humans create.

Our intention is to provide a platform for cultural exploration, and in that sense, Wonderfruit is an intentional gathering thoughtfully designed to go far beyond celebration. It’s a deep dive into the connection between mind, sound, and nature and a space where curiosity meets creativity. The output is hundreds of experiences across five days that introduce cultural practices, rituals, workshops, performances, films, and experiences.

We invite you to come a little earlier in the afternoon and explore, connecting more deeply with those leading activities in The Fields. We have purposely designed pavilions and shaded areas to keep you cool, and there is much to do within them.

While in The Fields, we encourage you to make thoughtful choices. To help with that, we’ve put together some ideas on How to Wonder. These aren’t rules, just gentle suggestions to help you enjoy all five days of Wonderfruit 2024 to the fullest—creating lasting memories, staying present for the journey and caring for the community that surrounds you.

Immerse yourself in nature…elevated. The Ancestral Forest grows as a shared rewilding effort, becoming an atmospheric space for workshops, soundscapes, art installations and a new medicinal garden rooted in Thai herbs, ancestral knowledge and indigenous practices.

Slow down with slow music. Enfold is our refuge in The Fields, a luscious abyss of focused listening experiences. You can lay down on a mat, stare at the sky, and take in live instrumental performances, atmospheric textures and blissed-out ambient drifts from all directions.

Start your sunrise a little earlier. Following last year’s love for the pre-sunrise piano performance, we’ve programmed something special before every sunrise this year. On Saturday at 5am, head to Solar Village for a cinematic performance by composer Andrew Wasylyk. At the same time on Sunday morning, don’t miss a jazz-infused collaboration by Tristan Bres and Nico Liesnard. On Monday, Tibetan singer-songwriter Yeshe ushers in the final sunrise of Wonderfruit 2024.

Open your mind to something new. Unconditional Space is our sanctuary devoted to connection and solidarity. This year, we center daily orchestrations around time, as we consider it a fundamental currency of ecological harmony. From film screenings to rituals and ceremonies, as well as oracle readings, we have created a thoughtful programme within a beautiful temple of seven lights under a roof that offers respite from the midday sun. Explore all the activities here.

Play a little. There are more workshops than ever in The Fields this year, all exploring sound art and nature. Wander into Ancestral Forest to discover nature-inspired acivties like incense making and a forest bath experience. At our new Medicinal Plant Village, you can find complete healing journeys with ingredients grown on our own land. Sensory Space has activities for families all day long centered around upcycling practices. Perhaps one of the most popular are the dyeing rituals at Indigo World, where those who participate leave with a badge of honor: indigo blue-hued hands. Workshops are happening all over The Fields: at Unconditional Space, Dhyana, Sensory Space, Ancestral Forest, and more. At the newly erected Solar Tea House, join a sunrise tea workshop by POTENT every day at 5am to instill restoration and rebalance after an evening of movement and engagement. Explore them all on the Wonder App

Discover, dance and move to different genres. Our music direction is about discovering exciting new sounds across various genres. Discover new expressions of music and performances at Creature Stage and hear music inspired by and crafted with elements of nature at Forest Stage. At Molam World, discover international versions of Molam alongside DJs spinning world beats, all in a village that stays alive until the early morning. Ziggurat welcomes Intermission this year, showcasing the sounds of up-and-coming bands from around Thailand. Across The Fields, our venues invite you to explore the limitless possibilities of sound.

Try new flavours.  The Fields is a celebration of taste where farmers, chefs and herbalists come together. Head to Theatre of Eats to discover Thai food from local vendors made with local ingredients, discover herbs with unique profiles at Pa Chan’s market at Open Kitchen, and while you’re there, have a seat at our new second-floor restaurant. There are an additional seven food villages where you can find vendors from around Thailand and beyond serving up their best fare. And don’t miss Jungle House, our lakeside restaurant offering elevated dining in The Fields.

Drink more water. It’s free. Bring your own refillable bottle or cup and fill up at any one of our 16 water refill stations. Find them on the map or lit up around The Fields.

—slow down. Take your time. Explore. And explore some more.

From Pete and the entire team at Wonderfruit,

See you in The Fields
