SC ASSET presents this year’s Scratch Talks

31 October 2017 | Wonderfruit

Every year, our line up of luminaries gets brighter, and Scratch Talks 2017 looks to be the most dazzling yet.

This year our series of eye-opening and perspective-shifting talks is presented by SC ASSET – one of Thailand’s leading real estate companies – who’ll join the discussion with a panel exploring the future of sustainable living. The line up features pioneers in their fields, curated with the intention of giving Wonderers an insight into the innovative, creative and groundbreaking things happening around the world and, hopefully, to galvanize and inspire them to make their own positive impact.

Speakers in past iterations have included creative minds like Dream Rockwell – founder of Lucent Dossier Experience, and legendary music producer Howie B, as well as eco heroes like Craig Leeson – director of award-winning documentary “A Plastic Ocean”, John Hardy – founder of Bali’s Green School, and Kevin Kumala – creator of biodegradable plastic bags. In December, we’re teaming up with SC Asset to present a line up so unmissable that we’re moving Scratch Talks to an even bigger platform – Farm Stage. The space, which last year was adorned with rice, gets a makeover in December by Bangkok-based design group all(zone), who plan to transform the stage into a community space, with a vast shade of suspended colorful fabric overhead.

As for the inspiring speakers who’ll step up, we’ve got Bea Johnson – best-selling author of “Zero Waste Home”, who’ll explain how she and her family of four produce only a pint of trash each year, while Dr. Singh Intrachooto of Kasetsart University will discuss his own waste reducing innovations. Artist and activist Dianna Cohen will talk us through the fundamental principles of the Plastic Pollution Coalition, and Richard Olsen, founder of Lykke, will expand on natural capital, plus many more

As hosts of the talks series, SC ASSET will present their own panel on “The Future of Living. Moderated by Tomorn Sookprecha and Teepagorn Wuttipitayamongkol – hosts of the Omnivore podcast, the panel brings together Shakrit Chanrungsakul – owner of FireOneOne and founder of, Kanjana Puntutaecha – 60-year-old retired government worker turned solo backpacker and Tanaphop Yoovichit – androgynous inspirational contestant on “The Face Men Thailand”, who’ll explore how to co-create, re-invent and improve life in the city.

Speakers are still being added, so keep an eye on our Talks & Workshops page to plan your mind-broadening journey.
