Your Sunday Highlights at Fruitfull

8 November 2020 | Wonderfruit

Good morning, Fruitfull fans.

After the whirlwind that was Saturday, Fruitfull at Jim Thompson House is open again today to help you recover from last night, or stretch the fun to the edge of your weekend.

There’s plenty of food and drink onsite, so we recommend leaving the car at home and enjoying all there is to offer. Call a GrabCar to our place and you’ll get 15% off your ride (up to 40 THB) by using the code FRUITFULL40. If you are looking to make an entrance, use the code FRUITFULL300 for a 300 THB discount off a ride with GrabCar Luxe. Other discounts are available, thanks to Grab.

If you decide to go your own way, you can park at the Siam Motors car park. Make sure you stamp your parking ticket before you leave the event. Find directions.

You can visit anytime from 11am–10pm today—and if yesterday is anything to go by, we’d recommend getting here early. Tickets are available at the gate for 490 THB, if you’re fast. If you already bought a ticket online, head straight to the Online Ticket Holders lane at the gate for a speedy entry to the fun. Remember, kids under 12 get in free (with a parent or guardian).

Don’t forget your ID (either Thai photo ID or government-issued passport) when you arrive for pre-registration. No ID, no entry.

If you’re bringing the family, settle in for a day of sunshine activities for all ages in the historic surrounds of Jim Thompson House. Try an eco-friendly workshop, grab a bite from our street food vendors, or settle in next to the fish pond and see if you can spot the turtle. We swear he was there yesterday…

Start strong today with a visit to the courtyard  at 11:45am sharp for a live cooking demonstration by chef Tonn (Le Du, Nusara), preparing minced pork with Szechuan spice and Heinz Oyster Sauce. The first 40 diners get to taste the treats for free—well worth being early for.

If you’ve got friends in tow, take them all to the open-air market and treat each other to some natural, organic, plant-based goodies from The Banana Warrior, or fish sauce caramel ice cream by Yora. Trust us on this, umami + ice cream = definitely the next big thing.

Visit Chalee Kader’s street food stall for some of the most flavorful fried chicken we’ve ever experienced, served over rice with sambal and chutney.

Stay hydrated with beers, cocktails, and cold drinks anywhere the need strikes. Our friends from Chang, Hendrick’s, Stoli, and Monkey Shoulder will take very good care of you.

For a slower sip, make your way to the Wine Bar by Wine Garage for organic wines by the glass or bottle. You’ll find the welcoming wine merchants near the stage.

To set the scene today, DJs Tassmah, Mike “The Butcher” Allin, and Juice Willis will be selecting and serving up the grooves, between live performances by multi-instrumentalist Noxnoi and The Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band.

Rest your feet in the Jim Thompson Restaurant and fill your table with classic Isaan bites by chef Num. His new Udon Thani restaurant Mak Khang is here for one more day only, before he has to take it back to the Northeast.

Visit the Fruitfull Shop inside the Jim Thompson Retail Store for some sweet Fruitfull merch, an eco-friendly souvenir of our time together.

Check the rest of our picks and the whole program for today before you come down.

Tickets are available at the gate for 490 THB, and kids under 12 get in free. See you very soon.
