Eight years ago, Soul Food Mahanakorn started off with a pretty simple idea: to serve regional Thai food in a comfortable setting. Things have changed a little since and the Thonglor mainstay is now part cocktail bar and part Thai restaurant, with a solid wine list. They care about their food and where it comes from, so they source many of their ingredients from small farms in the northeast of Thailand. At Wonderfruit they'll be serving a single, satisfying dish at SOT - Khao Tom, which is steamed rice in a rich stock of long-simmered pork bones, with spare ribs, meatballs, and spices. It's perfect as a hangover cure or pre-party snack.
