Sacred Cacao & Spirit Sound Journey by Temp. in Sept & Pepe Andrian
This ritual is intended to generate gratitude for all of the elements of nature and help people become grounded, find inspiration and endless self-expression. We can experience profound connections with our emotions by using cacao and sound baths using ancient instruments.
After drinking the sacred cocoa, our spirit enters a state of relaxation in which we can perceive sensations beyond our understanding, for which we resort to using a sound bath using whistle bottles. These ancient musical instruments aim to recover memories of the past and give us the feeling of being in the middle of the jungle surrounded by all its wild diversity, uniting the past with the present, uniting us in everything and nothing.
Temp and Pepe lead this ceremony. Temp was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. He is an artist and musician who is interested in art, music and culture, and is in a band called Sahai Hang Sailom. Recently, he has brought together a wide range of traditional and local instruments as an experimental approach to healing music and to create music for cacao ceremonies and other plant medicine therapies. Temp is also the founder of a cacao community in Bangkok called KOKOMARYBKK where he presents beautiful Thai cacao from various sources grown around Thailand.
Born in Ecuador in 1988, Pepe has passionately devoted himself to his art, continuously learning new and experimental visual and auditory techniques. His pursuits have led him into the fields of industrial design engineering, music, illustration, tattoo artistry and sculpting. This constant search for new inspiration and knowledge has led to the process of creating musical instruments from clay based on archaeological discoveries from ancient civilizations. He began the journey by attending ethnomusicology classes and studying music in its social and cultural contexts. With this knowledge, he learned the processes and mechanisms involved in the construction of whistle bottles, a mysterious treasure of ancient human history.
