Live Cinéma

Vincent Moon is an independent French filmmaker presenting a live cinema performance that combines live editing with music performed on stage and screened in his films. Over the past twenty years, Vincent Moon has traveled globally documenting sounds ranging from stadium rock to shamanic rituals, electronic experimentation to village acapella songs. He co-created Blogothèque's 'Concerts à emporter' series focused on Western indie music. His Petites Planètes Collection now includes over 1,300 films documenting popular and sacred music, trance ceremonies and sound experiments, all published open source. He produces and distributes films without following the established industry frameworks, breaking away from Western narrative while questioning the hybridisation of our digital practices.
