The Grower, a bronze sculpture with a terracotta-like patina, sits on a rock at the north entrance of Open Kitchen, symbolizing a symbiotic relationship between life forms. Black trumpet-like mushrooms sprout from its body, while feces on the androgynous head highlight the cycle of consumption, waste and regeneration.
The sculpture, part of our vision to grow the future, now hosts insects and small creatures, leaving colorful marks as they build cocoons in its concaves, leaving colorful excreted marks around its head.
