Suan Som Rom carries the tradition of the Thai orchard-garden, where fruit and shade trees sustain wildlife and human nourishment.
In this orchard, 22,781 trees across 123 native species bring this tradition to life, from tamarind and jackfruit to moringa and banana. Planted in overlapping canopies, they mirror the layered structure of a natural forest, creating a rich polyculture of plants that coexist and support one another. Together, they cool the air, retain moisture in the soil and offer habitat for birds and insects. More than ecological restoration, Suan Som Rom is a living field carrying Thai agricultural knowledge shaped by centuries of human tending.
