In this Wonderpost, you’ll find:

  • How to pre-top up your RFID wristband
  • No ID, no entry
  • Download the official Wonderfruit 2024 map
  • What to leave at home
  • How to pack and what to wear
  • Our stance on single-use plastic (don’t forget your refill cup)

We also want to make sure you arrive with everything you need (and what you don’t need) and that you know exactly where to start when it comes to packing.

Read through these tips carefully to ensure you’re set for departure to Wonderfruit 2024.

First, load a balance onto your RFID wristband

This year, we’re working to reduce queue times for Wonderers. By pre-loading a balance onto your wristband, you can save time in line and have more moments to explore The Fields. Simply top up your wristband before arriving, then pick it up at the Box Office and head straight into The Fields.

Before adding funds, remember to pre-register your ticket. Once pre-registered, you’ll be able to load your balance. Please note that pre-loaded funds are nonrefundable and must be used at Wonderfruit 2024.

Holders of any of the three types of Bangkok Bank VISA Infinite Credit Cards can also get an additional 20% value when they pre-top up. Each eligible guest may redeem the special offer only once.

If you’ve already pre-registered, pre-top up here. If not, start by registering your ticket here.

Download the official Wonderfruit 2024 map

The official map of The Fields is now ready, so you can get to know the land before you arrive.

Discover new venues, identify medical stations and plan an art walk through both new and returning installations—find and locate all your favorites and more at Wonderfruit 2024.

You can download a high-res version of the Wonderfruit 2024 map and save it to your device.

You’ll also be able to pick up a printed version at the Main Gate and access it on the Wonder App to help you navigate every experience waiting for you.

Don’t forget your ID: no ID, no entry

Every person who passes through the gate must show a photo ID matching the name they used to pre-register. If the name doesn’t match, you won’t be allowed entry—so make sure you’re extremely careful and thorough with your pre-registration. If you don’t have any ID at the gate, you also won’t be allowed entry into Wonderfruit.

Digital or physical copies of your ID are OK, and we recommend carrying one with you at all times—you will need to show it every time you come through the gate, even if you already have a wristband.

If you haven’t pre-registered yet, you can do that here.

What to leave at home

We have security present throughout Wonderfruit, with standard checkpoints and roaming staff throughout The Fields.

As usual, there will be a security checkpoint just after the Box Office, where your ID will be checked and your wristband scanned. Staff will conduct a bag check and a thorough physical pat-down. Please be respectful to our teams at these stations; their work is important for the safety of Wonderers.

A security checkpoint will also be stationed at the Boutique Camping and Slow Wonder reception areas. This, again, is to ensure the safety of Wonderers and confiscate banned items. A bag check and thorough physical pat-down will be conducted.

The following items are prohibited at Wonderfruit:

  • Alcohol (confiscated if found)
  • Nitrous oxide, laughing gas or whippets (confiscated if found)
  • Narcotics and illegal drugs (confiscated if found; large amounts will be referred to police)
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Drones
  • Selfie sticks
  • Professional camera equipment (DSLR cameras are allowed; extra lenses and tripods require approval)
  • Native American headdresses
  • Hoverboards
  • Bicycles, skateboards or rollerblades
  • Single-use plastics or glass bottles
  • Outside drinks (water must be emptied at screening)
  • Outside food (except for campers with dietary restrictions or milk formula for babies)
  • Animals (other than dogs with a ticketed Dog Pass)
  • No nasal or throat sprays without a prescription
  • No weed exceeding a palm-sized amount (for personal use only)

Note:

  • Medicine must include the attendee’s name and doctor’s prescription
  • Hand sanitizers are allowed in a clear package only

How to pack and what to wear

We’ve done this a few times 😅 and have put together a list that could help you be ready for (almost) everything in The Fields.

Wet wipes: The good old ‘festival shower’. It’s always good to have a few refreshing towelettes in your bag to maintain a basic level of cool and clean. Also, with delicious burgers and other handheld grub, you might need them on hand— literally.

Tissues: Useful in case of spillages, allergies, emotional responses to beautiful music and portaloo emergencies.

Your favorite flask: Wonderfruit is plastic-free, so please don’t bring plastic water bottles. Bring a flask or use our refill cups and top up at the drinking water stations around the site.

SPF: Welcome to Thailand; it’s hot here. We know you know how important this is, but just as a gentle reminder, like Baz Luhrmann (and your mom) says, wear sunscreen.

Sunglasses: It’s sunny in Thailand, so you’ll want your shades.

An extra layer: Having said that, December is the midst of our winter and though that might sound absurd to any visitors coming from cooler climates, temperatures do drop at night out in the countryside, so bring a hoody to throw on after dusk.

Mosquito spray: Keep those pesky biters at bay.

Fabulous fancy dress: Wonderfruit welcomes outlandish outfits; the more colorful and outrageous, the better (but remember: wearing culturally insensitive costumes is never cool).

Meanwhile, by the same token, there are a couple of items we would suggest you don’t bring:

Your best clothes: Designer couture isn’t the ideal attire for foraging on an organic farm, splashing around in a natural lake, or generally enjoying the great outdoors.

Loads of cash: Wonderfruit is cashless, your admission wristband acts as a virtual wallet and you can top up your credit at any time, so just bring your credit card and once you’ve used it, leave it in one of our secure lockers.

Most importantly, bring yourself—see you in The Fields!

And finally, don’t forget your cup or refillable bottle

Single-use cups contribute to a huge amount of waste. Yes, even those compostable and biodegradable ones generate waste. Even though we have used environmentally friendly cups for many years, the most popular item that has ended up in our waste is cups. Single-use cups. So in 2019, we made a bold decision: no single-use cups at Wonderfruit. And this carries into this year as well: you’ll need to bring your own (or buy one from us). And every year, we release a new collection with cups made from new materials and new colorways inspired by elements in The Fields.

NO CUP, NO SERVICE

If you don’t have a reusable cup, you won’t be able to order a drink. That’s the simple version. We’ve put much thought into how this works, and we’ve made refill life as easy as we can.

We also have water refill stations all over The Fields, where you can refill your cup or bottle for free. This means you don’t have to buy water at the bar—unless you want to, in which case we have beautiful cans by Greenery available for purchase.

BRING YOUR OWN CUP, OR BUY ONE FROM US

Any 16-ounce (pint) cup made for reuse is welcome at Wonderfruit: stainless steel, enamel, recycled plastic. There are some stylish options available, and we encourage you to get creative and even match it to your outfit. But please, no glass. If your cup is bigger than 16 ounces (473ml), bring it anyway. The vendors and bartenders will just leave a little room at the top.

You can also buy a Wonder Cup to take home and use all year. Each is a 16-ounce, refillable, portable, stylish vessel made from rice and coconut husk by Sonite in colorways inspired by elements in The Fields. You can buy a Wonder Cup on your way into The Fields at the merch booth or any bar.
