The Field Village: Exploring Curious Connections to Mind, Nature and Sound

The Fields are a physical landscape. The land, the spaces, and the creations that gather us together. Beyond what we see, they are also what we feel. A field of energy, ideas, and exchange, where knowledge is shared, cultures intersect, and we can practice intentional creation.

Over the past decade, we have nurtured these Fields with care. More than one hundred thousand trees have grown from saplings into three distinct forests. Today, we rely on our land as both doctor and confidant through our Medicinal and Ancestral Forests, while continuing to learn how their wisdom can become part of our daily practices.

Throughout the year, we continue hosting more experiences with collaborators and friends. This year, we welcome five new artists exploring our curiosity around Mind, Nature, and Sound. Art continues to shape The Fields through site-specific installations that respond to the land and the mind. Our pavilions are increasingly becoming spaces for active reflection, bird nests, and even the occasional termite mound.

The land, and what it represents, is Wonderfruit.

As these Fields have grown, so has our appreciation of the importance of remembering our roots and the simple ways they shape everyday life. Beyond local, regional, or cultural origins, our roots are the human values that form the fabric of society. Like the roots of a forest, they exist beneath the surface, quietly sustaining communities through patterns of interdependence.

From these roots grow the many expressions of culture. Looking at resilient villages around the world, we begin to notice familiar patterns of wisdom. Responsibility becomes natural rather than a burden. The sacred is found in the everyday. We respect our elders and their wisdom, honor the land and its natural cycles, and share rituals and traditions that bring communities together.

These guiding principles reveal themselves in the ways we live together. Food is not simply nourishment or commerce, but a way of sharing livelihoods. Music is not solely entertainment, but a shared frequency. Hospitality is more than an industry. It is also an expression of generosity. Art is reflected and felt in everyday life. And social is human connection, not media.

In our fast-moving world, our desire to consume will always compete for our attention. The Field Village represents culture not as consumption, but as participation. A place where we can practice the values that allow communities to thrive.

The past decade has taught us respect, awareness, compassion and responsibility for one another. From these comes the freedom to create.

As we step into our next decade, we continue expanding beyond the festival into diverse experiences throughout the year. By collaborating with communities and creators across disciplines, we remain curious about the connections between Mind, Nature, and Sound, to inspire the soul and nourish the spirit, in The Fields and beyond.

Explore what awaits in The Fields this year.
